Democracy
Our children are encouraged to debate topics of interest, express their views and make meaningful contributions during lessons. The children are also involved in making whole school decisions using the school council. The Mayor of Camden visits each year to open the voting process. Pupils are involved in democratic processes, for example voting for school council members, house captains and librarians. The principle of democracy is explored in the curriculum as well as during assemblies and whole school study weeks e.g. equality study week. Our school behaviour policy involves giving rewards which the pupils have discussed for: individuals, groups, house teams and classes. The children also have the opportunity to have their voices heard through pupil surveys.
